"This piece was inspired by how in Greek Mythology beautiful women are often cursed or turned to stone, and one of our most beautiful creatures - the Snow Leopard, is in its own way cursed too for it’s beauty, as it’s been hunted to near extinction for its amazing silver fur, and also to be used in traditional Asian medicine. It has been depicted here falling through the dreamy clouds towards its fate, ‘ frozen’ or suspended in time with droplets of water that hang in the air- as this beautiful cat may become a part of the past if we are not careful and protect what we have left......."
