Suzie Silk

Suzie Silk (b1983) is a Suffolk based award winning visual artist, working primarily with photography.

She creates conceptual imagery that explores themes around identity and sexuality. Her work is both satirical and performative, using her own body to create narratives as well as objects and props that surround her immediate environment.

Silk is fascinated with lens photography, exclusively using analogue techniques to manipulate images,  her work is carefully staged and performed resulting in images that are playful yet subversive.


Suzie studied BA Photography at Nottingham Trent University and was awarded the 2023 Tim May Memorial award through the Women in Art Prize. She has exhibited throughout  the UK, including the  Mall Galleries, The Roundhouse London , Nottingham New Art Exchange and Artspace Dream Week. Suzie has also participated in the renowned Art On A Postcard auction.
